Core Options™ is a competitively priced clinical abstraction
tool that allows hospitals to meet their Joint Commission core
measures reporting requirements, yet has the flexibility to allow
for collection of other clinical data for quality monitoring.
Experience
As one of five performance measurement systems to participate in the
core measures pilot project the Michigan Health & Hospital
Association has the experience of helping hospitals implement and
use clinical abstraction software to collect data for core
measures. Michigan Health & Hospital Association Service Corporation has met the
criteria for inclusion in the accreditation process and is included
on The Joint Commission’s list of acceptable systems. Core Options™ is committed to meeting
future criteria established by The Joint Commission.
System
Core Options™ will allow collection of clinical data locally with
connection to a comparative database via secure Internet site,
minimizing the need for information services support.
Reports
Users will be able to choose from a set of predefined reports or
develop their own with user-friendly queries. Data can be sent
directly to a Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet.
